Baby Elephant with a Bass Clarinet

Adult Elephant with B flat Clarinet

I made these for my clarinet teacher.  There was a tribute concert for him a little while ago, and I painted these as a tribute to him.

The scanner blew out the colors as scanners tend to do sometimes.  There’s actually a lot more variation in color on them.  They’re inked with a brush, and painted with watercolor.

Electric Blue

Another post within five days of the last one?  It’s crazy, I know.

Done with pencil and Photoshop.

A silly thing I did that was both an inking warmup and a Photoshop coloring practice.  It was fun.  Also, I made some of the brushes myself in Photoshop!  It was a fun time.

Also, I got a tumblr!  You can view it here.  I’m not sure how this is going to work (like what I’m going to post where) but I hope to post more often on this site and my tumblr than I did last year!

Self-Portrait

Done in Photoshop.

My silly comic “Today I Learned:” moved to a new place!  A friend of mine and I started a blog to post comics on: http://lestwentytwo.wordpress.com

There’s only one comic on there as of now, but check it out if you’d like!

Sorry about that.  I’ve been busy doing art though, so it’s been good!

Also, I updated my website with a new look.  Check it out if you’d like!

I made some more art for the people I homestayed with in Japan:

They were inked with a brush and painted in watercolor.

Inspired by the song “Cinnamon” by The Long Winters.  So is the title of the post.

Done completely in Photoshop CS3.  Her skin didn’t turn out as cinnamon colored as I intended though.  I might fiddle with it again later.

I am mega proud of the inking on this fish:

It’s a crop of a larger piece I am working on.  I will have the finished piece up soon.

Hey, new Today I Learned: in the gallery! —>

Also, some new sketchbook stuff that I thought was cool.

I really like the girl on the right in the top one.

Also, some fanart from my most favorite game ever, Final Fanstasy Tactics for the PS1:

Agrias was one of my favorite characters from that game.  I was listening to the soundtrack, and started drawing some of the characters, and I thought they turned out pretty ok so I turned them into sort of Photoshop warm-ups.  So this was colored in Photoshop CS3.  Final Fantasy Tactics (c) Squaresoft/SquareEnix
